Renee Coro is the founder and owner of Harmonious Happenings, Music Therapy Services. Renee has worked as a private practice music therapist for over the past 13 years with children and adult of all abilities. She currently provides both clinical and community outreach music programs in many settings including public school districts, nursing homes, recreational centers, early childhood centers and library programs in both MA and CT. She is passionate advocate of music therapy as she actively presents for regional conferences, universities and other educational institutions.
Renee is an Enfield, CT native who received her training and bachelor’s degree in music therapy from Molloy College, in Rockville Centre NY. She has a professional performance background as a singer and dancer and brings these skills into her practice giving her clients the opportunity to shine through creating musical experiences, movement, songwriting and recording while reaching their highest potential. She now resides in Somers CT and her practice services people throughout Northern CT and Southern MA.
Renee has several years of training and experience working with families in the community through state funded grant programs and other community based settings. Her music based skills include adult/child engagement, behavioral interventions, education and techniques natural play! One of her most popular program is "Family Jam" which gives the families of young children to create and play together in an inviting setting.
Renee created and produced an original children's album in 2014 titled, "Perfect Harmony". It can be found on Itunes, Amazon and CDbaby. She is currently working on her second children's album which will debut in 2020!!!
